Description
The objective of the assignment was to develop and promote the institutional capacity of local institutions and communities, capacity of key local stakeholders, and accountability mechanisms between local authorities and beneficiary communities, for better service delivery in the rural sanitation sector. Specifically, the consultancy proactively engaged with the different governmental and non-governmental stakeholders responsible for sanitation implementation to enhance their capacity to plan, design, construct and operate and maintain the sanitation investments, monitor ISSIP implementation outputs and outcomes, as well as promote hygiene practices, social mobilization, communication, and sustainable rural sanitation services.
