Out Now: Sustainability Report 2024-2025!
Acknowledging that ‘the Earth is what we all have in common’, it is North South Consultants Exchange (NSCE) responsibility to contribute to its sustainability today and for future generations. Sustainable development is only possible when we, as a Company, also foster decent labouring conditions, the implementation of human rights, and environmental protection with a code of conduct that is free from fraud and corruption.
The actuality of a sustainable impact on prosperity, economic growth, and the well-being of life and planet Earth requires accountability to affected populations (AAP) from the standpoint of intersectionality. The cross-cutting principles of social protection & inclusion, fair power relations, non-discrimination, poverty reduction, access to education, food security, equity, natural resources conservation, and sustainable ecosystems are always on the radar of NSCE to be integrated throughout its Results-Based Management.

Being based in Egypt and located in one of the most water-scare regions, NSCE takes the ecological footprint of Egypt very seriously as it is disproportionality affected by global warming. In an environment of rising temperatures, population growth, desertification, salient evaporation, drought conditions, and increasing water scarcity, these climate concerns provide the backdrop for NSCE to redirect the human impact on the environment and ecosystems towards sustainable development. Natural and water resources management with a focus on renewable resources, resource efficiency, and environmental & human resilience are central to NSCE’s mission to contribute to a green transition. NSCE’s sectors of expertise are situated at the nexus of social, economic, and environmental development.
NSCE endorses that affected populations are crucial players and agents of change to achieve the sustainable development agenda. Assessing the socio-economic profiles of the affected populations is critical to enhancing climate-smart solutions and climate-resilient livelihoods, according to the principle ‘to leave no one behind’. The Company’s participatory approaches aim to capacitate these populations’ potential as the world’s critical thinkers, leaders, change-makers, innovators, and communicators.
NSCE prioritises the exchange of expertise, knowledge, ethics, and values as per the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is committed to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact. In the Communication on Progress Report 2024-2025, we highlight the integration of the SDGs and these principles as a core component of our business strategies, work ethics, code of conduct, policies, operations, and everyday practices, which sits at the nexus of humanity and sustainability
We thank our partners, clients, and donors, but mostly do the honour to our beneficiaries and the most affected populations for their contributions to sustainable development.
