The Improving Employment and Income through the Development of Egypt’s Aquaculture Sector (IEIDEAS) project was implemented by World fish fish in collaboration with Care and the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The IEIDEAS project secured a sustainable future for at least 100,000 people already employed in the value chain.
NSCE conducted the baseline study of the project, which aimed at providing quantitative and qualitative information on the current situation of the project’s target group before the startup of the project through a combination of secondary data desk review and primary data collection in the form of questionnaires, key informant interviews and focus group discussions.
