Description
NSCE conducted a comprehensive socioeconomic assessment of a joint program in the Dahshour area, south of Cairo.
The objectives of the program included:
- Reducing long-term unemployment through the support of the local community through the development and sustainability of creative and small businesses, focusing especially on training of women and youth;
- Building the capacities in the management of cultural and heritage protection;
- Raising awareness on the value of the Dahshour Heritage site and the region’s resources;
- Creating spaces for Local Economic Development (LED) forums to enable cross-cultural exchanges between each of the Dahshour villages.
