Description

The Objective of the mission is to evaluate the impact of the Social Fund for Development (SFD) in Egypt and specifically the activities funded by the Arab Fund Fund for Economic and Social Development (the Arab Fund).

The evaluation is conducted in four governorates: two in Upper Egypt and 2 in lower Egypt.

Services

Main Tasks:

  • Analyzing the role of the SFD in the field of microfinance and microcredit.
  • Extracting lessons learnt in different governorates.
  • Selecting governorates to be included in the sample.
  • Conducting the field work in the four governorates.

Methodology

  • 600 Structured Questionnaire in 4 governorates (Sharkia, Beheira, Assiut, Sohag))
  • Desk Research
  • 12 In-depth Interviews with the local offices of the Social Fund

  • Inception Report
  • Final reports with comments from the SFD integrated delivered in English and in Arabic
