Integrated Pest Management Project Survey Data Analysis
Description
NSCE was commissioned by GIZ -formerly known as GTZ- for the provision of a quantitative analysis of survey data on the farming system and the use of pesticides in six villages in the Beni Suef Governorate. The Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Project used a full fledged questionnaire on the farming system, pesticides, and IBM management practices. Data was collected on irrigation methods, cropping patterns, environmental and health awareness, marketing, income generating activities, and the role of women in agriculture.
Services
NSCE designed and supervised the collection of statistical data and conducted a gender-sensitive rapid rural appraisal, taking into consideration the gendered division of labor within the farming systems for the use of pesticides.
