Stakeholders-driven pathways for blockchain implementation in agri-food sector.
Description
With the farm-to-fork vision, TRUSTyFOOD explores the potential of blockchain technology (BCT) in driving sustainable economic development in the Middle East and North Africa.
The project has the objectives to:
- support the Strategic Research Agenda of the future joint research programme on the subject of Blockchain Technology (BCT),
- shedding light on the current partial and defragmented picture of BC applications in agri-food sector
- clarifying the benefits and opportunities which BC technology can concretely offer to the sector
- providing the most suitable tool to each targeted stakeholder for prompt, easy and effective implementation in their own context.

- Mapping and Assessing the State of the Art: mapping and assessment of use cases and agrifood value chain stakeholders (Middle East and Africa)
- Co-creation and Networking Methodology (e.g. Key informant interviews, focus group discussions): Stakeholders’ consensus building
- Assessment of Blockchain technology’s impact on environment, society, food system and businesses : Assessment of the impact of BCT on climate change & development and monitoring of the Gender Policy Plan, the Ethic Plan and the M&E Plan
- Intervention Action Plan: analysis, design, and development of innovative business models specifically related to blockchain
- Amplification Actions: Communication, visibility and dissemination activities & development and implementation of the global outreach strategy and plan
