The overall objective of this project was to assist the Project Management Unit at the Egyptian Ministry for International Cooperation in the monitoring and implementation of Human Rights and Political Support Programmes carried out under the umbrella of the bilateral Association Agreement between the EU and Egypt signed in 2004 for the protection of human rights; together with the promotion of pluralistic democracy and effective guarantees for the rule of law and the fight against poverty.
