This week, an exceptional awareness campaign was launched in the West Delta region as part of the Third National Drainage Program — a vital step to safeguard resources and achieve true agricultural development.

The benefits speak for themselves:

  • Protecting soil from salinity and improving aeration.
  • Boosting fertility and crop productivity — with increases of over 30% in crops like wheat and cotton.
  • More sustainable farming: reducing water waste, protecting soil, and improving efficiency.
  • Regular maintenance of 4,442 drains stretching over 22,000 km to ensure long-term performance.
Project: National Drainage Programme (NDP) III

The project aims to a sustainable investment in farmers’ livelihoods. It improves soil health, increases yields, and helps farmers secure a better income. Our Communication Expert, Ms. Manal Mounir, spoke at the launch meeting!
