Development and implementation of a national strategy and action plan for improving the image and social perception of TVET in Egypt
Description
This project is aiming to improve the structure and performance of the TVET system in all aspects to better respond to Egypt’s new socio-economics needs, and in particular at boosting the employability of youth and increasing the country’s competitiveness.
Based on the TVET I Achievements, the TVET II is focusing on 3 components:
- Improving the governance of the TVET system;
- Enhancing the relevance and quality of TVET;
- Supporting the transition to employment.
Services
Exploration
- Field Surveys – assessment of TVET contribution to employability in the LM and economic development & tracking of TVET awareness and image in Egypt.
- Social dialogue seminars – stakeholders’ mobilization, social dialogue with target groups and building media partnerships.
- Desk research – detailed target group determination of the Egyptian regions, media planning, practices summary of other initiatives.
Planning
- Development of communication strategies – for the TVET sector and for the Tourism TVET sector specifically.
- Development of action plans – for the TVET sector and for the Tourism TVET sector & stakeholders events for presentation of the communication strategy and action plan.
Action
- Media campaign and media campaign awareness tracking.
- National TVET Exhibition – design, organization, media coverage.
- Annual TVET Sector Competitions in several sectors (Chef, Workers Fashion, etc…) of Excellence – design, management and organization.
Evaluation
- Recommendations and actions to ensure sustainability and replication of project results.
- Submission of the final report.
