Description

The purpose of this assignment was to assess the social impact and partner performance of the client’s social investment recipients – namely, UNICEF Egypt and the Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) programme/organization. A Corporate Social Investment (CSI) scorecard was completed for each partner and the project they had undertaken.

Services

  • Liaise with client partners and projects in Gharbeya (UNICEF WADA project) and Cairo, Egypt (SIFE programmes);
  • Conduct Social Impact Assessments consisting of key informant interviews, structured group discussions and project observations for client partners at 2 or 3 sites in Egypt.
  • Clean interview and observation data, capture and analysis.
  • Provide input into the final summary report and the management decision making tool to be submitted to the client;
  • Make all local and out of country travel and accommodation arrangements.

In the case of UNICEF, NSCE evaluated the relevance, efficiency, impact, effectiveness, and sustainability of UNICEF’s activities to conduct a needs assessment, raise public awareness of environmental issues, mobilize the community in waste collection efforts, and carry out community based training on proper treatment and management of solid waste.
